Dr. Salvador Romo-Fragoso
Salvador is the STHAL LLC General Director and Founder, STHAL products create digital maps for money, information, work and products. The map models are a solid base to capture in real time decision micro-moments and the platform where advanced algorithms and machine learning are used to predict operations conditions in all industries for areas such as: operations, supply chain, manufacturing, production, value chain, sustainability engineering, sustainable energy generation, capacity management, sustainable technologies.
Salvador has a mechanical and electrical engineering degree, with a major in Logic and Control Systems Master in Science program from ITESM graduated with honors. Has a MBA in Finance from the same Institution, and a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the Center for Advanced Supply Chain Management at University of Miami, dissertation in the research area for Operations and Capacity Optimization under Lumpy Demand.
He started his professional career doing Industrial Instrumentation and Control for CEMEX. Research and Development at Hewlett Packard. After several positions he served as the 1.2B dollars Worldwide Transportation Manager at Corporate Logistics. He was the Supply Chain Director for the 4B dollars Latin America Region, then promoted to Operations Director for 10B Consumer Support Group for the Americas Region before he retired after 30 years of service.
Always enjoying establishing new business ventures in challenging conditions, he was founder for eHiTex--an electronics consortium pioneering on line B2B concepts such as; on-line reverse auctions in August 1999 and STHAL LLC in 2011.
Salvador, has served as board member at the Global Supply Chain Council with Ohio State University, has contributed to the Supply Chain Management framework, applied worldwide by multiple companies, the Supply Chain Forum at Penn State University, and the Industrial Distribution Program at Texas A&M University.
Salvador is the Industry Advisor at the Center for Advanced Supply Chain Management at the University of Miami and Board Member for the Modeling and Simulation Division at the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers.
